Peter Wallace

Potter Peter Wallace takes his place behind his wheel and begins to
shape clay into the classical forms for which he is renowned. The clay
turns, rises and appears in the perfect symmetry that pleases the eye
and uplifts the soul. But more is to come. “Come over here,” he
invites. We walk to another room and there, on rough-hewn planks, stand
vases of radiant beauty.
There were no Natural clays in Broken Hill where Peter grew up, but
zinc was mined and this is an essential element in the production of
exquisite crystalline glazes that have become his professional
trademark
