Jill Morris is an award-winning children’s author and publisher whose home is a 56-acre property in rainforest on the banks of Obi Obi Creek, outside Maleny in S.E. Queensland.
Jill’s books number more than 100 titles, mostly about the natural environment and endangered animals of land and sea, scientifically researched and presented in collaboration with illustrators of the highest standard. Jill has a rich background as teacher, TV & radio producer, journalist (The Age) and playwright. Her accolades include a Churchill Fellowship, the Dame Annabelle Rankin Award, Children’s Book Council Honour Book, an Environment Award and (twice) The Australian Educational Publishing Award.
