Holden’s Gallery is owned and managed by Phil and Jennifer Holden and all work is carried out on the premises using state of the art equipment.  

 

Phil has been a professional picture framer for 31 years so you can be confident that your cherished items will be handled expertly and with consummate care. Your treasured items will be enhanced in their appearance and protected for your enjoyment for years to come.

We use conservation quality materials for all framing work with a wide range of picture frame moulding types, styles and colours; over 200 mat-board colours, 5 different types of glass – in fact the choices might seem quite daunting but our experienced, friendly staff will help you find what you are looking for or, if you don’t know where to start, we will work with you on a one to one basis to help you to find the perfect result to suit your own personal taste.

 

We frame all types of art – watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, etchings and prints plus photographs and certificates. We understand the special requirements of each different medium and surface and ensure that each item is treated individually according to its own special needs.

We also stock framed mirrors or we can make one up to your own special choice of framing and the exact size you require.

We are experts in the stretching and framing of all types of needlework including tapestries, cross stitch, long stitch and collage.

We can also stretch paintings on canvas and supply custom made canvas or linen stretchers for artists needing non standard sizes.

Medals, collections, artifacts, football jerseys and other sporting memorabilia can be transformed into creative displays and enhanced in value.

We can get your old photos restored, copied, enlarged or reduced, medal ribbons replaced – in fact whatever is needed to make your display look great.

No job is too large or too small  and we repair broken frames, glass, etc. If your pictures are being damaged by insects, mould or out of date acidic materials bring them in for refurbishing.

We are agents for a specialist art conservation restorer. We can obtain a quotation, remove your art from its frame and send it for restoration and then fit it back into your frame on completion.

We are stockists of the versatile, Australian made Gallery Hanging System. With a number of options to choose from these systems are suitable for galleries or home use for hanging and/or lighting picture displays. They are easy to install and enable you to arrange and change your picture displays without marking your walls.

Prints

If you are looking for a special art print then come and browse through our huge range of print catalogues representing Australian art printers and the main print importers. We can supply open and limited edition prints on both paper and canvas.

D.I.Y. Picture Framing

For the D.I.Y. picture framer we supply everything you need including moulding by the length, matboard, backing board, tapes, wire, and all the hardware bits and pieces.
